Candy Bird專訪 − Part. A
擅長利用塗鴉和空間中既有物件互動的 Candy Bird ,這一次與躺在紙張上的文字玩接龍。午後微風系列,保有著鮮明的輪廓,深刻的筆觸,卻多了細膩與溫柔;每一幅插畫運用分鏡的手法,一步步引誘讀者掉進了角色的世界裡,好像,每一個情節都很重要好想知道,下一幅的圖框裡會發生什麼事。稀鬆平常的寫實文字,道出淡淡的日常,濃濃的省思就好像那只剛燒好茶的茶壺,社會議題隨著壺嘴吐出的霧氣,若隱若現,很喜歡 Candy Bird 的為社會而藝術,淡然又自在的描繪血淋淋的社會。
創作想法
Q:本次的創作核心理念是什麼?
A:
長期以來我對都市社會的多重層面很有興趣,特別是較沒人關注或是被忽略的議題、事情。
而今年(2018年)在台北尊彩藝術中心的個展,簡單的說,是聚焦在台灣當前經濟現況下的家庭關係。
Q:從街頭塗鴉到圖文創作都能如魚得水,過往一直有文字創作的習慣嗎?
為什麼在這個時間公開自己的文字作品呢? 為什麼這次會想嘗試這樣的創作方式?
A:
過往沒有使用文字創作的習慣,但詩、小說常給我靈感和啟發,羨慕那些很會使用文字的人。
至於寫作,記得最早應該是國中時寫過軍事、科幻小說,沒寫完也把草稿丟了,
後來到最近幾年,出國旅行時才又開使寫些日記、散文。
這次想結合塗鴉與插畫兩種形式,嘗試些不同的表現手法,至於它應該怎麼被歸類則不清楚了,
或許也不叫圖文,就是某種“繪畫”吧。
現代社會之家庭樣貌
Q:請問《午後微風》節錄的文字片段隱喻的訊息是什麼呢?
A:
說出來就不有趣了,留給觀眾自己解讀和體會。
Q:分鏡效果的呈現的靈感來自於?
A:
沒有特別留意出現了分鏡效果,應該是來自於漫畫和電影吧。
Q:插畫的背後故事是什麼?
A:
如你所見,午後微風是一篇描寫父子關係的文章,
我用它與一段描繪“救贖”的繪畫相疊合,藉此表現如上所說的現代社會的家庭樣貌。
Q:未來是否想嘗試做動畫片?
A:
我曾經和白輻射的Rex合作過,但我們倆都太忙以致於作品沒達到完成的標準。
未來就看緣份了,我也喜歡嘗試不同的東西。
近期展出計畫
Q:近期的展覽資訊介紹(展出計劃)?
A:
最近與香港的“油麻地兇案導賞團”合作一系列展覽,預計於11月17號、星期六晚上在行者藝文空間發表,香港場的則是在12月8號,詳細資訊我會再公佈於自己臉書和IG上。
另外也有一個與亞洲素人作家合作的計畫,從2017年開始預計會持續五年,還在進行中,

Interview with Candy Bird – Part. A
Creative idea
Q:What is the core concept of this creation?
A:
I have been interested in many aspects of urban society for a long time, especially those that are less concerned or ignored. This year’s (2018) solo exhibition at the Taipei Zun Cai Art Center is, to be simple, a family relationship focused on Taiwan’s current economic situation.
Q:You are really good at writing. In the past, there was always a habit of writing. Why did you public your own writings at this time?
A:
I have not used the habit of writing in the past, but poems and novels often give me inspiration and inspiration. I envy those who use text very much.
As for writing, I remember that when I was in the middle school, I wrote a military, science fiction novel.I thew away the draft after. In recent years, when I traveled abroad, I finally started to write some diaries and essays.
This time I want to combine different forms of expression with words and illustration. As for how it should be classified, it is not clear, perhaps not called graphic, or some kind of “painting”.
Family appearance in modern society
Q:What is the metaphorical message of the excerpt from “breeze of the Afternoon”?
A:
It is not interesting if I say it. It is left to the audience to interpret and understand.
Q:What is the story behind the illustration?
A:
As you can see, the afternoon breeze is an article describing the relationship between father and son. I use it to overlap with a painting depicting “redemption” to express the family appearance of modern society as mentioned above.
Q:Do you want to try to make cartoons in the future?
A:
I have worked with Rex(The white radiation), but both of us are so busy that the work does not meet the standards of completion. The future depends on fate, and I also like to try different things.
Recent exhibition plan
Q:A recent exhibition information introduction (exhibition plan)?
A:
A series of exhibitions recently co-operated with Hong Kong’s “Yau Ma Tei Murder Guide”. It is expected to be published in the Walker’s Art Space on November 17 and Saturday night. The Hong Kong field is on December 8. I will reveal the details on his Facebook and IG.
